I have heard rumors from friends and a few speculations on websites about this game’s multiplayer being a cross-console multiplayer game. This would mean that friends that play on a different system could play in my game. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?
Cross-Console Multiplayer
That article answered some questions I’ve had for awhile. I always play on a PC and really can’t see the appeal of a controller, but to each their own. Some how the results don’t really surprise me.
With the advent of steamworks integration on the PS3, and Portal 2 allowing crossplatform play between PC an PS3… AND a closed PS3 beta for Brink = Rumours afoot?
I think the PS3 had a beta simply because it is the biggest pain in the ass system to develop games for.
Did any of you even read the title? It says Cross-console and no word about PCs. Xbox360 versus PS3 would be nice I guess.
but would be a very painfull decision to make,
the pc-community is very good at flaming stuff like that.
people who ask that usually don’t see the pc as a valid gamingstation, forgetting they are discriminating the pc-community by seperating them while joining the console players together.
The chances of Microsoft and Sony opening their respective services to one another are pretty remote - I don’t think we’ll see that happen this console generation.
And the thumb sticks on your controllers are much more precise. But your online service is trash.
Actually I did mean all of the systems, not just the consoles. I didn’t mention the PC since PC and Xbox have a few titles shared (although usually not multiplayer games). I was really more interested in the idea of Sony and Microsoft working together.
Thats like OsamaBin Laden and George W. Bush going together as a team… Not going to happen
I disagree. I would be outraged if I had to pay 60$ a year and didn’t get dedicated servers for all of all of my games.
Bit OT, but I’m really curious what MS will do in their next iteration of xbox when it comes to media.
Will they put bluray in, or will they do something different? Lets remember that bluray tech is pretty much Sony.
Should be interesting

So far off the mark!
I’m an Xbox gamer due to my history with consoles. The only reason I think cross-console would be a safer option is because PC has a far superior aiming system with the mouse.
Sure there are some FREAKS OF NATURE who could compete, but in general PC gamers would always have the edge, and dumbing controls down for the PC would just piss off that community.
But in no way can anyone say that PC is not a valid gaming station!
