Crew-served MG42 (accuracy)

(==Troy==) #1

One of the variables of MG42 entity is accuracy. As it says in radiant the initial accuracy is 100% and to reduce it you can input calues such as 0.5 etc.

I tried to do that, inputting values of 0.5, 2, 100 and didnt find ANY difference in the behaviour of the MG42.

So could you please help me if there is any way to make crew-serverd MG’s more accurate? Because they are too short-ranged :frowning:

Thank you in advance.

I wouldn’t call them short-ranged, I have seen a few guys using it more effectively then a regular Thompson. (Especially the tank MG.)

Are you sure you tried both settings? Maybe you should place 2 MG’s next to each other and test a complete burst with both.

yup, it doesnt work, and well, obviously, if you set it to 0.01 or 100 you can see the difference straight away. But even with 2 of them placed together I didnt get any difference.

And the range that I am intending to work with is 8096.

I don’t think you can make them more accurate only less accurate, as you say the default is 100% so I am guessing thats the best accuracy your going to get I am afraid. Also I don’t think you can alter the tank accuracy either but would be nice if you could, they too good even at long distances, maybe could set up a script mover to use with mounted mg on it instead maybe? doesn’t need to actually move, could work.
