Allied Objectives:

  • Steal keycard
  • Use keycard to gain acess to second phase

  • Fire anti tank gun (2 button process)
  • Press radio

Axis Objectives:

  • Stop the Allies.

Thank you.

Note to all leagues:
Mortar will have to be disabled in this map because allies are attacking from above, it means that there are a number of mortar shots which I consider unfair (exploits). The reason for this is that the shots work without the mortar having to do a full arc (ie. go up into the sky and come back down). Instead they can just be fired directly up at the attackers. This can choke a number of key places and ruin the game.

If there are a number of leagues which are heavily opposed to mapspecific settings then send feedback (dersaidin+maps .at. gmail .dot. com) and I will consider changes to prevent mortar abuse.

Im gonna sounds like an ass but…

It reminds me of aldernest, the fact thats its ‘empty’

Its quite a demanding map fps wise. lows of 18 and highs of 85 (fx5500)

Took me a while to find the keycard…im not that stupid am i?

Would be nice to see what objectives are to be acheived in the limbo…

Otherwise, good map, its different

Terrain was done like this:
http://www.dersaidin.ath.cx/mapping/index.php?act=tutorial&tut=rockwall
(my site might run out of traffic for the month soon :stuck_out_tongue: )

Yes, I need to add objective cameras and descriptions as well as etpro fireteam locations.
Keycard is on the minimap, though it may have been easier if I added the stuff in limbo
And I think most people would argue that its pretty good FPS. What is your lowest on other maps Beef?

Hey man, nice job

I went looking for some trickjumps, but i could only find some really small and useless ones

LoL that when u want to go via above the place where u must deliver the keycard, u get killed :stuck_out_tongue:
better so, cuz else u could skip alot…

keep up the good work

If you’ll permit me to define the map into halves based on flag capture, the second half is too ‘big.’ I think the problem is with scale based on the boxes in those rooms, and indeed, in the first half it feels a bit oversized, but not badly. I think by making the boxes a smaller size, and stacking them, you can still get the same effect as the bigger crates, but give a more realistic effect. The oversize gun doesn’t help either.

If you turn right out of axis first spawn the steps that go up into that building are too steep, and the netting is too close, when you come down at full speed, you nearly hit it.

Edit: Its late here, and I forgot to mention that the extra room/hallway height in the second half also contributes to the oversized feeling, indeed, as I think about it, that seems to be the bigger issue. Although having some more smaller boxes around the gun area would be nice.

haven’t played the map yet… but it’s running on our trainingground clanserver (clanbase settings, newest etpro, 2.60b etc)

Map was played on a showmatch yesterday, yielded positive comments. One of the players wrote a review on xfire.be, think you’ll find some valuable feedback. The maps seems very suited for competition!
