Credits = Money

([MDK] alpha) #1

Hey,

i have a simple question:

You can buy nearly everything. But why you can’t buy credits?

50k should be 10€ I think. Is there a reason why this is not possible?

There is a reason… The devs want the game to nor be Pay to win, but they still need to have bigger things like mercs for sale for cash so they can make a few bucks. Also: anything you can BUY with credits is already for sale in cash. the only thing is trading up, but credits for trading up is easy to grind for in a match or two, unless you are trying to trade up to a cobalt.

Even if you could buy Credits - The game would not be p2w because you already can buy mercs and cards especially the big bronze packs. So yeah, the only thing is trading up. This could be a very nice source for nexon to get cash because there would be a way for many gamers easier to get “their” card.

Buying credits for money wouldn’t make it pay to win. There’s nothing you can buy with credits that gives power. The fact trade ups require credits, which make you play to earn, keeps people playing regularly - something that the game needs for longevity. That’s probably something to do with it.

I thought the same. But srsly. You can argue, too, that many players who aren’t have the time for farming like that, will leave DB because of that.

(Backuplight) #6

If people are leaving because trade ups are too hard, the game is really not for them. I complain more than most about the RNG and skins in the game, but they’re sure as heck not keeping me from having a damn good time.

(Jostabeere) #7

Why do wee need buyable credits? You can get 100k CR a week with ease.

(RyePanda) #8

Hopefully sarcasm but I’m not sure.

Would have been handy tho when I started trading up my 210+ lead cards…

(N8o) #10

Why the hell would you buy credits? Seems like a waste of money.

(gg2ez) #11

Trade Ups and Trade Ins are really the only reasons I can think of.

(uWotm8-AU) #12

+1 to this idea.

IIRC they said it’d never happen though.

Not even worth it. Just buy regular elite cases.

(Daergar) #14

No, but seriously, why the hell are credits not offered for money?

I mean the credit booster is so ridiculously ovepriced that simply selling credits straight up is hardly unthinkable.

I think it’s pretty worth it. With Elite cases, you can draw a potential 162 loadout cards, this means you have a 1/162 chance of getting the exact loadout card you want. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather a 1/9 chance of getting the card I want using trade up/in.

Because that would totally be worth of money… … 35€ or so for 10 random silvers… 9 silvers and 1 gold if you’re lucky.

(HunterAssassin5) #17

you can get a minimum of 3.5k a DAY, from daily plays of the 3 modes and a single daily win and 3 missions with the minimum payout of 500 credits. 5k if all 3 missions are 1k credit ones, and that’s assuming you don’t hang around for more missions. not exactly a chocolate cakewalk, but not an especially tough grindfest.

@Haise the only advantage I can think of is the fact that you can guarantee which merc you are going to get from the trade-up/trade-in, while elite cases it could be any of the mercs in A or B. So it’s cutting down your RNG quite a lot, other than the loadout itself…

Why should it be Sarcasm? You get 2k Per day for win/1game per mode. 14K a week. Every rotation gives ~2,25K. IF you have the time, you can do 3-5 rotations if you play much. you get ~10-12K per day only off mission. 14k+~70-75K per week without the initial game rewards.
Prior CW event I had 500 CR when I heard about Phoenix giveaway. Had 5 days to gather 50K. did it in 3 days with 5 rotations per day. Woke-up 8 am, did missions, 10am rotation, 1pm rotation, 4pm rotation and 7pm rotation. Between those had plenty of time to do other stuff.

I once did ask, during a Twitch stream, if they were going to let us buy credits.
There were Shoe and Smooth.
Smooth said No, they do not think to implement this because it will “break the economy”.

Was ~ 1 month ago.
