Crawling while incapacitated

Could Dirty bomb add that mechanic? Just like Fortnite, when you get taken down you can crawl really slow into a safer position and hope to get some help.

There is nothing “slow” in dirty bomb. The only time I would find this useful is if you get killed and the enemy doesn’t finish you. Which happens very rarely. Medics would have already came to revive you.

Not sure if it breaks the overall ecosystem of DB balance.
I mean, I get a feeling Phoenix would get an indirect buff from this crawling…

Not really much of a point honestly. You’re usually not waiting there for very long, and encouraging players to hold out downed behind cover instead of respawning isn’t a good idea either.
Besides, not like it really adds any new facet to the game. If anything all it would do would be to harm strategies, like putting mines on downed players.

You used to be able to rotate your merc on the ground while down, sometimes players would move their heads so they were harder to hit, but it didn’t really change anything, so the devs just removed it

This is great idea and should be implemented to Dirty Bomb. Think about those situations where you just missed spawn time and you are left ungibbed somewhere to lure medics. It gives some pressure to gib people and not just use them as a bait for rescue team. At least there is something to do when waiting for next wave.

This has been discussed but was decided it’s not a ‘Dirty Bomb feature’. Like you guys have said, DB is a fast paced game. Having players crawling around trying to get to cover wouldn’t add to gameplay and make downing players less rewarding.

I don’t mind it as an augment for mercs like Phoenix and Nader. But as a feature available for all mercs it wouldn’t really help the game much. Especially because downed player bodies are already glitched

why would you have this as a feature anyway, Fortnite has no medics, DB has medics
