Crash/Freeze; I know what's wrong

It’s incredible. I ran “MemStatus 2.65” and it showed me…incredible, unbelieveable, that Brink uses EXACTLY ZERO MB from my graphic card and never more than ~1150MB system memory, wich is exactly 500MB more than in idle mode. As reference I’ve tested “Aliens versus Predator 3” wich uses ~1000MB(exclusively(with idle together 1650MB)) system memory and ~600MB from my graphic card.
I’m doing the math for you. AvP3 uses ~1600MB Ram in total and Brink only 500 and absolutely no memory from my graphic card.

I knew it was a memory thing. But I thought the memory(graphic card) was overflowing instead it isn’t in use at all.

If it’s not showing any video card memory usage. It’s wrong. Video cards cannot operate without using video memory at the very least for the frame buffer.

Run memstatus and you will see. use a well programmed game as reference and you’ll see the difference. Do you even have the freeze problem? Because if not you certainly can’t reproduce “my” problem.

OpenGL maybe shown different

try to check on other OpenGL based game.

Ok, I think you are right BUDA. Maybe it’s an OpenGLthing. I used DOOM 3 as reference and it showed no videomemory usage too. I’ve tested it with MemStatus and RivaTuner. MSI Afterburner isn’t able to show the memory usage of ATI cards at all.
