Crash at weapon customization and when loading matches

It happened just this morning. When I start Brink it loads very slow to the character selection menu. Everything is fine and I start trying this and that in character customization screen. But when I go to the weapon screen and clicked a gun… Everything freezes, the sound is OK but it freezes. So i forcefully exit Brink through task manager and I directly went to freeplay mode and during the loading, it freezes again. Then I tried to wait as the game freezes in the weapon menu, I was thinking perhaps it’s just slow or something but 1 hour later, nothing happened.

BTW, before that I got an electrical blackout while playing Brink, I was afraid the save file corrupted or else because before this blackout I got another blackout that deletes my save game. So I tried removing my save and run the game. It runs fast as usual but when I interacted with the weapon screen or when I start a match, it freezes. I tried re-installing it and it still happens.

Any ideas why this happened?

This may be a case where posting your PC specs would be useful to someone trying to assist
Also was the “blackout” localised to your PC, or was it a powercut to your whole street, or even a powerspike rather than a powercut?

Well, before this it runs well, I even got to finish the whole challenge and unlocked everything (^^)/
Running on on-board ATI HD3300 (Money-saving). I know about ATI Cards issues but I’m usually playing in FPS no more than 60 anyway so it doesn’t bother me that much ( --). The game is patched, no more grids.

The powercut involved the whole street and lasted for 3 hours, BTW.
