A covert ops who takes a medics uniform should be able to revive the enemy, but where the needle was poisend, and will rekill the person who was revived after 20 seconds or something. How evil would that be?

Honestly, I think that’s an awful idea. You don’t want Covert Ops being too powerful, or else everybody would choose them.
Effectively what you’re proposing is that the Covert Ops now potentially has the abilities of EVERY class. They don’t even have to kill the guy, just walk up to a corpse…
I think the CovOps are fine the way they are… Just because you took a guy’s pants doesn’t mean you know how to inject green goop properly into people, or plant dyno.
I think SD did a pretty damn good job of balancing the classes… I was dissapointed to see that Shrub added g_classChange in ShrubMod. This benefits only the Covert Ops, and removes the obvious penalties that they currently suffer.
Imagine a covert ops kills an Eng with a Thompson/MP40. Now said Covert Op has a great close-quarters weapon, can plant dynomite, defuse it, and STILL steal more uniforms… Why not make everybody be able to switch uniforms? Why not just remove the classes all together, and give everybody EVERY ability? Why not just remove all the abilities altogher? Why not just go play CS?

Because SD didn’t make a random decision when they chose the abilities for the classes. They didn’t just pick pieces of paper out of a hat… . The classes are well thought out, and each has its’ advantages/disadvantages, and I think it would just hurt gameplay if that delicate balance was disrupted.
Maybe they could make it so that there gun is taken instead so u could hide longer, again id say too overpowerd, still though an ability to drag the person u stole the uniforms from body and hide it would be nice, dunno if this can be done with the shrub mod.
Still im pretty happy with the way the covert ops class are right now, the limitations force you to think and move stealthy.
One difference would be that you would not get to ‘pick’ unless you specifically target a medic because your team needs a medic. The thing that would have to be considered, is if you are seen giving health to the enemy while undercover you loose the uni and the abilities.

Any Covert Op would choose medic’s uniform for regeneration + self healing.
On shrub, you can only take a teammates class, you can’t just kill an enemy engineer in the base and become an engineer to complete the objectives.
