Count with LUA hit of Bullets & the Damage ?

(ETdemin) #1

Hello

Some players sometimes appear to be unbeatable

Game Bug OR do they use something some cheats like a “God Mode” ?

it is possible to check with LUA :

  • if you hit the player with a bullet ?
  • how much bullets have hit the player ?

OR

  • the amount of damage given without checking his HP ?

With the amount of damage given with no re-Health and no HP-Lowered by the bullet hit = cheat

But rest a problem : we ignore up to which point the cheats can fake the bullet hit :o

Thanks

I dont think the system is worth it… Its really up to us admins, if you suspect something, go spec him… if he never gets hit nomatter… ban him

In the past I’ve heard rumours that adjusting cl_timenudge, cl_maxpackets and rate can make you “unhittable”. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but nowadays most mods force these anyway (cl_timenudge 0, cl_maxpackets 100, rate 25000).

Apart from that you have to take adrenaline and damage falloff into account, but that’s it. If you hear a hitsound you’ve hit the enemy. No need for some lua or other solution to check this. There is no way to hack in more life / godmode since these are serverside variables / settings.

It is highly NOT recommended to modify cl_timenudge, that usually kill the experience client side according to several places on the Internet.

If you have a player from the other side of the world playing with optic fiber, there’s chances you’ll feel he’s “unhittable”. I know someone like that :stuck_out_tongue:
