Could we Stream extraction when it goes in CB?

Just wanna know because If I could get it to work I kinda wanna stream the game get it out there you know

I don’t know the answer, but I doubt it.

Closed alpha was under NDA, my guess is closed beta will be as well.

I hope to be proved wrong though.

I’d expect the streaming will be allowed when the game is nearing a more final state of mechanics and game play, which will hopefully be near the end of CBT. Otherwise it would be misleading to viewers ofc.

As a streamer of competitive games, it would be fun to stream some closed beta scrims. I guess we’ll find out on the 15th.

I think closed beta is under NDA, but open beta I believes is not. So yeah, no streaming until open beta.

(igamr) #6

but its CB so we should be able to watch it I mean Im betting splash has been dying to show this game me and some Blacklight Retribution players are psyched for this game

(INF3RN0) #7

They have plenty of footage… no one’s stopping them… it’s plain bad publicity to shell out tons of footage when it could all change the next day. Closed beta is closed for a reason lol.

(igamr) #8

No offense but wheres the footage :stuck_out_tongue: I mean at least show us a little more

The Closed Beta will be private as well, at least initially. That said, we may start streaming a few ā€œofficialā€ matches until the restrictions are lifted.

I think Inferno has a great point. Some people take beta footage as a final representation of the product. Granted, some games (a lot actually,) do end up as bad as the beta makes them out to be. I think Splash might have more to lose by lifting the nda on the CB, personally.

That OBS guide is not the best. It’s somewhat old, and makes a few bad/questionable recommendations. For example, If you’re streaming on Twitch, you don’t want to go over 3500kbps, and disabling Aero is actually bad for Window capture. It also fails to mention that, on Twitch, you need to set your Keyframe interval to 2.

I actually recommend Twitch’s OBS guide, if you need to follow a guide: http://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/1262922-open-broadcaster-software
