Could not authenticate user.

Right i am really peed off about this bug now, I cant stay in the server for more than 5mins without my game closing its self down to windows. It has just cost us our ESL qualifying match due to me not being able to stay on the server for more than 30 seconds.

Is anyone else getting this? Is there a fix for this? I cant see any helpful threads about it.

I have tried everything, Reinstalled Brink, Verified integrity of game cache, De fragmented cache files, Closed every program i don’t need running, Disabled firewall, Restarted steam, Restarted my router list is endless.

It seems to be just getting worse by the day, Its completely unplayable… I found some brink crash files? According to them it has happened 37 times today…

If anyone can help would be appreciated.

ATI 6870
6GB Ram
Asus motherboard
Xonar DG soundcard

Well i went through every program that is running at the same time as brink turning them off/on to see if any of them was making me crash. I turned mumble overlay off and it seems to be working.

So if you are getting the same problem and use mumble, Turn overlay off as i don’t think it works well with steam overlay.

Configure > Settings > Overlay > Untick enable overlay

Its been working for the past hour or so now.
