Hi,
a friend of mine and me bought Brink yesterday and we’d like to start by playing through the campaigns cooperatively against bots. While he installed the game I already started to do some challenges and got some XP in the process. Now we can’t play together with our characters because the game says:
ERROR: Connection denied. Your rank is too high to play on that server.
even though he selected ‘My rank or higher’ when starting the server (the only other option is ‘My rank’, there is no ‘Ignore ranks’ option). We tried it with both settings and both of us tried to be the host for the game, same message all the time.
Does this mean we cannot play together unless we both start with a fresh level 0 character every time so we have the same level?! Or is there any way to ignore this message? Maybe some server setting?
