Cool Trailer of Brink

(DarkSlayer54) #1

I stumbled across this trailer when I was looking for any new Brink gameplay videos… I thought it was a cool trailer (most likely since I’ve never heard the song before), and it really fit nicely with the video, well… not beat wise. Although, the ending could of used some work…
Thought some of you would like to see it as well.

So just take a complete video and replace the audio with a new pop song, and it becomes a good trailer?

(Diablo85) #3

+1. That music was so bad I had to mute it and all I saw then was old footage I have seen before,

For the record, the video is “A Matter of Class” (complete and unedited) and the song (that goes on for a couple of minutes after the video ends) is “E.T” by Katy Perry. You’ve been warned.

(DarkSlayer54) #5

Oh wow, I never even knew about “A Matter of Class”.
I still think the Katy Perry one makes a bigger impact than the official audio of the trailer. I don’t see why you’d hate the song… I’ve heard it twice and both times I’ve enjoyed it, comparing it to other modern pop songs floating on the radio; I like it.

I know, this thread is a fail on my part. Knowing it’s swapped audio makes it less enjoyable.
Sorry for disappointing you all.

Dude it was just “A Matter of Class” trailer with ****ty music, the original is SO much better

(DarkSlayer54) #9

Well, sorry for wasting you’re time. I wasn’t aware that of “A Matter of Class”, and I still think the song makes a bigger impact. It obviously doesn’t fit as well as the official one, but it catches my attention a lot easier.

Good Job!
I say go for it, make another one
you have until May to please the crowds

The trailer has been out, but this new one has potential IF you could remove the singing. The song/beat of it actually hits on a lot of good points through the video.

I listen to this song if it comes on the radio. I’ll admit it. :x

You must not listen to the radio. ever. I try not to but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

(DarkSlayer54) #13

I don’t really listen to music all too often. If I remember right… the last time I listened to the radio I counted 7 songs that I disliked before I found a song that I thought was good.

(Killgar) #14

not even the Noisia remix…

OMG THIS TRAILER HAS BEEN MADEZ ALREADYS!!! JUST CHANGED THE SONGZ!

Hahah just messin DarkSlayer54 - It’s all good though. Not necessarily your fault you didn’t see the original first. Any random youtube search for Brink is unlikely to yield the ‘official’ results. On behalf of the SD forums I apologize for those who haven’t read the posts before flipping out about how “this is A just replaced with B!”…

(even if I was guilty of the same thing not long ago, but **** that, it was already 6 pages long)

This is how you make a trailer. I guess Dice ain’t afraid of showing prealpha footage.

That 12 minute reveal was a total waste of time imo. I was hoping for NEW game footage, not just the 3 trailers we’d seen before with a few wee extras.

To be honest i think 80% of the people waiting for BF3 don’t give a s**t about the campaign. I know all i want to see is multiplayer footage.

But i think you have a point about dice showing prealpha stuff. I really wish SD would have a 12 minute video of a match in Brink.

So, to resolve this, we educate people to either go to Splash Damage’s YouTube page, or to watch the videos on the game’s official website.

Problems solved, for a time.
