Convince me to open my copy

So I pre-ordered and picked up a copy of Brink for the xbox360. Haven’t opened it yet and thinking about returning it. I was really psyched for this game cause I loved Borderlands, but I’m a little trepidatious now.

I bought the game probably 70% for the single player and 30% for online because they said you could go back and forth seamlessly and that the AI bots were almost human-like.

Now after reading reviews, watching streaming gameplay, bug issues, and imbalanced AI, I’m feeling like maybe I should return it cause it might not be my thing. I was fired up for the objective based gameplay and I really like the customization and artwork, but if I can’t play it enjoyably offline I don’t wanna blow $60 for only 8 maps and problematic play.

Can anybody convince me that I should keep Brink? Are they going to fix the AI and maybe provide more downloadable content, hopefully not costing an arm and a leg?

There may a well be no single player. It’s just playing against the worst bots imaginable

return it asap, it’s strictly a multiplayer game, and not even a particularly good one at that thanks to a plethora of bugs

Did you buy it on PC? If yes, do you have an Nvidia card? Do not open it! Do you have an ATI card? DO NOT OPEN IT.

I purchased Brink for th 360, and in all honesty I cannot recommend opening it yet. If they fix the Lag issues then I would say yes, but my day one experience included a lot of unplayable lag.
