Convert md3 to brushes?

(mr yellow needle) #1

is there a way to import and md3 into radiant or some other program and it convert the model to nothing but brushes and patches and save it as a prefab?

An md3 is better than a prefab. It’s much more versatile. The only drawback is that it’s not a solid object by default.

But in answer to your question, no.

ok i was just asking because i have an md3 model that needs to be a script_mover so…

Create a clip brush over the model or a part of it, and make that the script mover. It’s the same principle you use for the constructible MG nests

Like Ifurita said, make a clip brush representation of the model and set it as a script_mover. You can then attach the md3 to the script_mover entity with the key/value pair “model2” “path/to/model.md3”

um you can…
milkshape can import md3 and export as gtkradian maps,
but I dont recommend it!
