[CONTROLS] Moving bug with L-ALT and Shift pressed

(FireWorks) #1

Hi Crispy,

there is a bug with Shift and the left Alt keys for me.
Example:
When running (shift pressed) and selfbuffing (L-Alt for me) I stop moving after releasing Shift or L-ALT.

This works with all direction keys and different (and no) bindings on L-Alt and is completely reproduceable: Run, press LALT and release, you should stop and cant go in the direction til the direction key is repressed again.

Hope this helps

If you have multiple languages setup in Windows, Alt+Shift is one of the default keys used to cycle between them. When your language changes, Brink has to reset its keyboard input systems to reconcile with your new keyboard layout, which means whatever you’re currently pressing will reset as well. You can change or disable this shortcut in the Windows language settings, or choose a different key for buffing or sprinting in-game.

When are you guys going to fix this game so i dont feel like you stole money from me?

Ahh should have known! Thanks!

I also recommend changing your Steam shortcut. Trying to bring up the scores while running is a bit of a pain otherwise!

Thanks a lot for this. This same behaviour happened in ETQW but removing that shortcut in the regional settings on the control panel means I can hold shift and push alt without stopping my sprinting anymore.
