Hey everyone,
I’ve got Brink and so far haven’t actually got anything to complain about or praise about.
This is because for some reason my mouse does not work in the game, therefore leaving me walking in a straight line without being able to aim, shoot, do anything.
I’ve re-installed my mouse drivers and also un installed and tried with out but to no avail 
My mouse is a razer Imperator.
Could anyone give me some insight into how I could maybe fix this?
P.S it works fine in all other games… 
I had a look into that, used the cvar editor program from Rush-zone.com and that didn’t work either
If you are using steam try disabling the overlay. That sometimes causes problems.
Hmm… tried that and still no joy… I don’t seem to be able to understand why my mouse doesn’t work on this, but everywhere else.
I’m going to reinstall now and see if that makes any difference 
Not as a permanent solution, but as a method to narrow down potential causes
If you can, try another mouse with the same connector, but different software, e.g. USB and SetPoint (assuming your current mouse is USB)
And also another mouse with a different connector, e.g. PS/2

Will, do I’ve got my old USB mouse so I’ll give that a go. I’ll give you some feedback soon once Brink has re-installed
Well the re-install did nowt, and my other USB mouse with different software didn’t work…
Any other suggestions? I’m seeing this as a potential “not going to play” game…

Same here. tried another mouse. didn’t work. everything loads normal. but not even the slightest sign of mousecontroll
Toble & bloodmaster, please can you both confirm if your mouse is working in the in-game menus?
Please can you also both boot the game to the front end and post a ‘condump’ in this thread (see the sticky in these forums for details).

My mouse does not work in the in-game menu. However, I found a potential fix to my problem Cripsy.
I actually changed my resolution from 1680x1050 to 1440x900 just to see if that made any difference and surprisingly my mouse worked! I then changed it back to 1680 x1050 and it continued to work!
I shall do the condump for you still because I have to do this every time I open the game
Tried every thing, changing resolution, reinstalling the game etc. Nothing helped… still my mouse is not detected in game. Any salutions so far?
It could simply be time to get a new mouse, i had that problem with my old mouse (on ET:QW) where it would work fine outside the game, but once in it it would disconnect randomly, and the only fix was to disconnect and re-connect my mouse.
I have this same problem. Yesterday my mouse worked fine in-game, everything worked properly. Today it doesn’t recognize my mouse at all and no I didn’t change any settings whatsoever.
Changing the resolution makes it work again. It’s still quite annoying to do that every time I start the game.
Hey guys, bought brink about a week and a half ago but suddenly this morning my mouse has stopped working on brink. My mouse itself is fine and runs normally on desktop but when I log onto brink the cursor freezes into place also when I go into a game (using the keyboard) the mouse again is completely unresponsive.
As I said this only happened when I logged on this morning… any ideas why? :stroggtapir:
