Controls for different machines

So I have to say that I love that Brink uses the cloud feature of Steam. Very handy when it comes to using a laptop and desktop. However that this cloud shares controls is less than ideal. My laptop keybinds are vastly different from my desktop as I’m a lefty so having my desktop binds automatically defaulted whenever I switch, and vise-versa is annoying and inconvenient.

So is there anyway to stop the binds from sharing? Or is there a keybind file somewhere I can just replace with local binds every time I play on my laptop?

Create an autoexec.cfg at “[Steam install folder]\userdata[user id?]\22350\local\base” and put in there your custom binds

What would be the format to this autoexec.cfg file?

bind [key] [action]
e.g.
bind w _forward
bind s _back

To find out the actions probably the way is to go in-game and set you controls how you want them
Then open the console (ctrl+alt+tilde), type “bind [key]”, hit enter
If you do this without an action it will tell you the action already assign
