Anybody else been playing this map as security and if u get pushed back to first spawn it seems almost impossible to get out of that and ure basically spawn camped for the whole map. Is there some alternate route im missing besides the two obvious ones? Just seems damned near impossible to get out of the spawn once ure pushed back there if the resitance team is even half competent its still pretty hard. Just curious if anybodys got any helpful hints for this sittuation?
Container city security spawn rape issue

Yup. A lot of the maps don’t seem like they were properly tested for 8v8. Well It’s either the 8v8 or the pc player playstyle.
Either way it seems a lot of the maps to be rebalanced. The missile level and resort where you need to hack as the last objective come to mind. Hacking is hard enough as it is, but with their spawn so close it’s nearly impossible.
I wish those command posts would let u spawn at them once u captured them. It would solve this spawn rape issue im talking about. Or at the very least put a back route the security could use to leave that spawn because as it stands now its a little rediculous.
i was thinking the same thing about command post letting us spawn near them, then i thought the maps aren’t be enough to allow the players who have the most command post to spawn from them…if they were battlefield big i’d be all for that though.
Foward spawns would certainly help in this situation but most of the maps really aren’t that spread out to make a difference.
Besides, once you get past that first objective in container it’s not that bad. It’s just easy for resistance to dominate if they get an early start. The biggest problem is in the later objectives in maps that require hacking.
And how. Last game I played on that map had Resistance in their spawn point, which has a total of two exits, until they got to the crane by spamming grenades into the spawn area until finally killing us pushed us to the next spawn point so… no real sympathy from me.
Once you get the bot under that bridge you’re actually right in front of their spawn. They can’t even step out without getting blown up.
Im not a hardcore security guy anyway i ussually play resistance myself but i just think some of the maps need rebalancing. via extra routes to leave the spawns etc.
On Security if you can get the detonation on the door, you win. The trick is to get there quick, and watch the flanks. Once the door is blown use flanks, coordinated attacks, and the escort-bots cover to push.
The spawn raping on Container City is really a problem.On Stopwatch matches everybody will try to do this.
Solutions could be: More exits, more or better placed turrets or minefields like in Red Orchestra.
I was playing this map earlier and doing this to the security on container city. I felt kinda bad, but the whole other team was bots. Maybe adding another turret to that corner to keep the resistance from being on the ground where security comes around the corner would help, but sitting up on the ledge pretty much screws the security if no one can get out.
I notice people who tend to get stuck inside the security spawn in container city tend to just give up. It’s entirely possible to get out of that spawn.
I got a little secret. On the very far left where that door is you can hack… there is 2 paths above it only a light body type can get to.
well. i saw a few live streams of this map and i played it once online. once the security is pushed back to their spawn its nearly impossible for them to get out again. i saw that a few times and i was in one game where this was the case.
its pretty simple. there are only 2 ways out for 8 players. there are another 8 players waiting for them to pop out of the entrances/exits. so, if each player runs out on their own they are almost instantly down cause all 8 enemy players focus them.
if you can manage your team to stay together and rush as a pack of 8 securities out of one entrance/exit, you might have a chance to overrun the resistance. so, teamwork is essential.
but my conclusion is that its bad leveldesign. only 2 entrances/exits is far too less. its too easy to block, on both sides anyways. there needs to be at least one alternative route. 2 would be even better.
How about, don’t sit on your ass and get the hell out of there and plant the bomb immediately?
A bit like Battlefield conquest mode. The container city security spawn is bad, we ended up doing it on one game last night, hard not to when the tank thing hasn’t go much further than the first gate.
If there was one more exit for security on the far left that pops out right towards the locked door it would be better… however that would allow too much of a rush to the wall and a soldy could plant the explosive before any rebels get there.
if any team is getting spawn raped then a good server admin should just do the admin command to force random teams, either by the next map, or immediately.
when i play, i do it after each map, so its never constantly one sided.
