I think Warmup needs to be taken out or revised, because I often find people just running around and smacking each other going “LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL DUN RUDDY UP LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL” and ****ting around instead of getting on with the game. I think it’s a poor lobby system, and it’s totally useless.

I really hate the idea of limiting people’s ability to join games by level, I’m level 17 and I can’t join ****. It doesn’t really work either, because a Rank 1 can have all of the weapons, whereas a Rank 5 can have none. I don’t think it really works because it alienates people who’ve been player for more than 3 hours.
Constructive Criticism on how to improve Brink. (Feel free to share your ideas)
My request is minor. On 360, when I select a menu option, on most options, a black box with more information pops up. The black box is small in many options, but when I’m messing around with weapon attachments, (especially silencers/muzzle breaks) the box is fairly large, and in the way. Could we have an option to turn those boxes off?
Fix the random lag, sound bug(that mainly occurs on refuel), add a Multiplayer button that takes you straight to the browser with decent filter options, add a few more objectives types and give the light body type the shotgun and i’m a very happy man!
The game is fantastic.
Please can we have fully-implemented 360 controler support for the PC version. For those who want it, it would be a massive helpful patch. I’m not here to argue about ‘the best’ control method: I’m just asking for this for those of us who desperately want it.

I would like to have an overall control on my character customisation. I mean, removing scars and tatoos if I want to, and even changing my face (and voice). You should be able to do that without recreating a new char (I don’t like grinding twice). You could allow that at a price of one level for example.
-
Indeed, I enjoy the weapons feelings, it could be great, in customisation mode, to see them firing when you change their sound (so we can actually hear the sound we’re chosing).
-
I don’t like coming back to life 800 meters away from the objective (hostages, etc).
-
Could also be great to know if the preorder dlc will be available at the store one day (but it’s offtopic).
-
Even if I like that all costumes have new skins associated with colors, I find there’s a lack of variety.

Body types & punch wise. It’s strange to see a heavy guy knocked down by a smaller one with one hit. I think the game should giving an advantage to the heavy (or a disadvantage to the small) in close combat.
I played for about 4 hours last night and didn’t have a single problem with lag.
I as well as others found themselves needing ammo more so then completing objectives do to the amount of hits a player can absorb. No, we don’t play the game like it’s TDM but at times some of the objectives are heavily defended and requires clearing the area before one can complete those objectives. What happens is that you need a soldier to follow you more so then a engineer or operative which are required for some of the objectives.
Another thing, everyone should start off with full ammo count at the start of a match (according to their ammo icons above them).
Sound issues need to be fixed too. Quite often when I fire a gun, the shooting sound effect starts going all distorted and “robotic” (only way I could think to describe it), like I am watching a badly encoded streaming video on a slow connection.
Apparently they made the game around console hardware limitations. Maybe they could make the pc version not a sloppy console port.
You guys are just wasting your breath. They can’t - or just won’t - fix the issues in Brink.
Crosshair while zoomed if using ui_showgun 0, please. QW had it!
Now that’s what I call constructive!
Couple of more things I noticed while playing lately:
-
Character customization screen: when you are modifying the look of your head/face, the done button should bring you back to the whole body view. As it is right now it quits the customization window.
-
Could we have appearance profile for each body type for a character? Or maybe be able to save appearances and apply them later to our character? something like a closet?
I like my light guy to be wearing light looking clothing, while heavy wears as much armor looking clothing as possible, and is annoying switching clothes every time I switch body type. Nothing game breaking but it would make customization a bit more fun. -
when you are too close to a command post and you are trying to buff someone, it some times targets the command post and changes class by accident. Also the targeting system for buffs is hard to control when everybody is close together.
-
the mission wheel is ambiguous when you have to “defend” and objective. Is my team planting the charge? or am I supposed to stop the other team from planting it? I know with time I will remember, but since the wheel is supposed to help players know what to do, I feel it needs to be clearer.

Server browser: Most of the filters are useless at the moment (can’t search for games of 16 players only), and could we have another filter to specify games with no bots? Possibly to add customized sorting order for each filter? first ping, 2nd game type, 3rd size etc… Also, it seems every time I enter a game, the server is automatically marked with a “start” as if it was a favorite which I have no idea why. Also how do you truly add servers to your favorite list?
all rifles need their spread tightened.
Also the leveling system is disappointing. Why limit level to 20 if the game wants you to be able to switch to a class to do objectives or fill in for missing classes? If I dumped all my points into soldier, I would feel at a disadvantage playing against people with only 1 ability point in medic. And if I play without my ability points on my class, what’s the point of having a limit to which levels can join some servers? I want to be able to keep leveling and unlock every ability and not be restricted by this inability to switch characters mid game, the game wants you to make a character for every class for this, and it’s a VERY ineffective gameplay mechanic.
Please add

Problems
Here are my specs

My performance pretty much whatever the graphics settings is not very good. usually between 25-50 tops. This is using the 11.5ar rc2 drivers you guys are recommending. I am also getting some weird flickering during the cutscenes with the background items that can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=773WdbzfgEI. I am also having issues with garbled text.
In terms of sound, in the cutscenes and loading screen the voices come through random channels. ALso sometimes when i join servers all i hear is the medic beep, other people’s gun. random background noise or nothing at all.
Also the friendly AI is dumb as…
I really want to love this game, and I have put almost 20 hours into it so far but these bugs need to be addressed. I know you guys are doing your best and I wish you all the luck but how things like this pass QA is beyond me…
[QUOTE=NeoRussia;306991]all rifles need their spread tightened.

The normal spread is fine, the scope spread should be lower.
Down at the bottom are a couple of suggestions.
I was not sure whether I should post this, because this is one of those “I disagree with everything the OP said” posts. I can’t help feel “that I took the bait.” But here it goes:
Your gun selection/mods aren’t what they were cracked up to be.
That every mod has benefits and downfalls is good, because otherwise you would see everybody running around with the same gun with the same mods. Mods depends on your playstyle!
Your guns are meh
Again, it depends on your playstyle. The guns feel just about different enough, that it could be worth switching depending on what you do.
Levels and experience are worthless
Nope. This is where you gain the meat of the experience: gameplay abilities. Comming from ET and QW, I was worried about the levelling system, seing that guns were unlocked, I feared a “popular” system of unlocking weapons as you level up. Fortunately, this is not the case, as you only have to unlock them once via the challenges (pr. account!) This system is just different. An in terms of “gameplay friendliness” it is better! Its “wortlessnes” lies in that for not fully developed characters it can take attention away from the main objective.
This hyped up custom character thing only… has… this many customizations?
Could have more in singleplayer, but for multiplayer it is of technical restrictions. You have to favor data about what is going on in-game, over player customization. So you could have a more costum (as opposed to template) costumization design, but then it could not be a fast paced multiplayer shooter (because the wire is a precious ressource.)
Some of your level design is under par
Whao, whao. Admitted, I have not gotten to learn all the levels and their design in full detail yet, first impression is that these levels are close to genius. Masterpieces. Sure there are chokepoints, but there always is at the very least one alternative unlocked route around it and often more can be opened up. Not to mention all the Smart interaction! And the visual quality and style is phenomenal!
The Operative is seriously useless.
The only class without buffs, and it is useless? Mine is not, he is raining hell on the command posts. I think that using this class effectively requires a deeper knowledge of the class mechanics, something you don’t have if you don’t come from one of Splash Damages previous titles.
We want CTF, TDM etc.
No we don’t. Those game modes were what we had. It were those game modes that SD evolved (commercially) 8 years ago (in ET) and I would hate for SD to revert “back the defaults.” Then I would have no enjoyment of their games and thus no reason to buy (and no games to play.)
Not mentioned bugs/suggestions (for PC): (bug) fix the camera while grapping command post/disguise/hacking/interrogate, (suggestion) let players kneel while doing those things, (suggestion) let the player control the 3rd person camera by mouse, instead of keys, (suggestion) let the player have 3rd person control (of viewpoint with mouse) while upgrading and firewalling a CP. (suggestion) Give the player limited 1st person control (of viewpoint with mouse) when disguising/hacking/interrogating. (bug) players should be able to change their character in warmup (priority), and ideally be able to costumize their weapons in warmup.
How I would like DLC’s to work: all maps (developer and custom) should be free-of-charge, as to not divide the community. Character customization (and other things that does not affect gameplay) should be sold for a price.
Good Job SD! :oppressor:
turrets need better tracking n little bit more range?
atm voice over at the end of maps seems broke
I think that the game would really benefit from having an objectives director (hopefully that makes sense) anyone who has played warzone in killzone 3 will know what I am talking about. The randomness of the objectives would really add to the replayability of maps.
