Constructable (or constructible i dont know)

Hi! I need help, I want make a Foot bridge, like the Fuel Dump bridge, but I dont know how to make it constructible (or constructable I dont know what’s the correct word).

I have read the MG tut. but I can’t do it, it isn’t constructible (or constructable :p).

Can anyone make a fast tutorial bout how to make a constructible (or constructable) MG? or a bridge better :stuck_out_tongue: (If u make a MG tut i’ll take the steps to make a bridge…)

Yes I know my english is bad but I think u should understand what want I mean.

Note : I don’t want copy it from Goldrush, it’s too lame and if I see the goldrush map for example it dont works… I’m doing anything bad :frowning:

Have you checked the LDR (“Construction Systems” section)? I has all the steps for making a constructible object - including the scripting needed.

I have a two-stage bridge constructible sample map. GO-Gerbil posted it after he modifed a few things. See the thread below (GO-Gerbil’s link works, mine does not)

I’m also having a problem with the constructible MG. I’ve gone through the tutorials in the tutorial thread (including the one by Sock), read the Reference Manual section and watched a video of a German guy making it look really easy.

The player can approach the construction crates, the build icon appears but nothing happens after that. No blue progress bar and no whited out MG being built. The script is as per Sock’s example, there are origin brushes where indicated, etc, etc. Given that I’m getting the “you can build” icon can someone tell me where it’s going wrong? Thanks.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I would say more, but it’s massively embarrasing. Not just a bit embarrasing like mis-reading a simple instruction - more on the scale of fouling yourself at your own wedding. Whilst reading the vows.

Thanks for your response though, I’m sure I’ll have some genuine questions very soon.

On a completely unrelated note did you know that by default you can’t construct things during the pre-game warm-up? I’ve been playing this game since October 2003 and I never knew that until yesterday.
