Constantly Moving Forward, Even when not pressing the w button

For some reason the game acts as if I am constantly holding down the w button to go forward. I go in different directions by pressing the a s d keys, but I cannot stop and as soon as I release the movement buttons I go straight back to moving forward. This means that to stand ‘still’ I have to tap the s button repeatedly. This is incredibly frustrating and I dont know how to fix it.

I think typing -forward in console will resolve it.

It doesnt accept -forward as a valid command. Some command like that will probably solve my problem though. Just got to find the right one I suppose.

I have a very similar problem. I constantly move to front-right as if “W+D” were stuck, but they are not. Restarts dont seem to help, as it is the third day with the problem.

Is there a solution for this?

I havent found one. I tried deleting the game through steam and redownloading and that didnt work.
