Connection Stutter...

So, after more tests I have some things too report…

1, The same kind of stutter now happens without people connecting from time to time.
2, It is very unlikely to be (OWN) client related as same happens on a 9000mb/s RAM Disk.
3, Possibility that the stutter is made worse based on connecting players ping.
4, Could be (OTHER) client related. Would need to know if me connecting on a RAM Disk gives everyone else as much connection stutter.

Thoughts anyone?

Future tests include…

  • Raising net limits to see if allowing more in stops the problem…
  • Raising sent limits to see if it reduces on other clients…
  • Playing Australia to see if ping does indeed effect…
  • Getting Australian to connect to EU to test again…
  • Get people to play using 100% default loadouts…

SD HELP REQUIRED ON LAST TEST.

Could we please organise a test server that…
(A) Requires players to be playing with a 62fps cap.
(B) Have higher limitations on send/receive limits.

This single bug is quickly becoming the most frustrating bug in the game for myself.
Unless SD have nailed down the origin we need to work together to do so.

Yes, this needs fixing, its a bigger deal than QW’s animation 30fps limit. Especially on pubs, people come and go all the time, having a lag stutter everytime will make the game look buggy and unappealing.

I also feel like many of the game crashes people have are somehow related to a large quantity of players connecting at the same time.
