So since I am playing again I am curious about one thing.
I exclusively play on servers in my Region. Frankfurt, London or Stockholm. On all of them I have a good ping of 20-40.
Yet in every match I have a red connection issue symbol.
People, my throwables and enemies lag around.
Is this supposed to be on my end, or is the game just in auch a bad state regarding the connection?
And if it’s on my end, why do I have a connection issue with my good download and upload speed and a low ping?
Connection error symbol is a bug?

no its not, it also sometimes appear on 10-18 ping but even less than anything over 20 ping
probably just crap server… you need to talk about it if you want it fixed…at least on my end it was fixed when i kep talking about it…

I have damage feedback delay and issues with hit registration with <20 ping since Final Assault update. Very frustrating.

This has been happening for almost a year now I think. Something appears to have changed with the servers and the lag got much worse. It sucks, but there’s not much we can do. 2015-mid 2016 the game was extremely smooth and no real issues when it came to ping or lag. Now, playing with a ping over 100 is very difficult and borderline unplayable. Same thing goes for playing against someone with a high ping, it’s terrible. I forget what happened, but things definitely changed. I always thought it was my internet (though it is sometimes), but after talking to others, I highly doubt it is.

So it’s not on my end and SD screwed the servers up. Kinda expected that to be honest.

Pretty much as far as I know. Something changed in like late 2016 and ever since then the lag is terrible. Everyone else on this thread mentioned the problems that come from it. It’s weird though, I feel like it comes and goes. Some weeks are better than others, but most of the time, that annoying connection icon appears and strange things start happening D:

Sounds like a packet loss issue to me. Your ping might be good, but DB isn’t showing your packet loss. Teleporting and having delayed placeables all sound like a packet loss issue.
Internet speeds can also be good, even great while still experiencing packet loss. Should do some tests on your end. Also, try testing on other devices on your network (if there are any) to see if they experience the same problem. You should also restart your modem/router/switch/hub whatever equipment you have that your internet is running through.
You can use this site to help troubleshoot packetloss:
They may be talking about VoIP calls on that site, but the troubleshooting is exactly the same.
Just test to whichever google.xx you use in your region instead.

Seems like i get that alot less now that i got a new modem and replaced every connector possible all the way to the poll. Once i replaced the fittings on the tellephone pole(i have all the gear i need as i do this sadly for a living) my upstream signal went down and downstream went up prior to changing the modem and now its almost non existant.

I do as well. I can unload almost a full clip into someone close range with a BR and they walk away with half health and I am dead.

well pinging Servers etc via CMD doesn’t show any lost Data, so i doubt that. I have the same Problem and its annoying as f uck.

But at the speedtest which I ran multiple times I get this:
not even Nexon servers were this crap. Seriously.

Amsterdam Servers are the Worst for (Berlin) but in General its just a lagfest and ofc SD won’t comment on that.

His screenshot clearly shows he is the one experiencing lag, not the whole server. There are other people in the server on that screenshot with pings in the 30s and 40s. If it was the game server having an issue, then EVERYONE on that server would be having an issue.
The issue is somewhere between the end user (Jostabeere) and the SD server, however your screenshot just ruled out the SD server.
Have you tried completing trace routes to the server IP and see where the hang up is?

I don’t really have issues with them, so I’d rather base things on my experiences and how the internet works than just say things are bad without understanding them.

asia server on my end is 17-18 at most in server browser. But when you got in its either 54 or 20s.
weird stuff man, but its pretty okay ish on my end.
