If I recall correctly, I got killed while picking up the milk jug on the last stage of Whitechapel. Afterwards, I was stuck with that weird indication in the center of my HUD:
“Press F to defend”, that’s the ultimate noob-friendly feature, too bad I was on attack 
You can even defend while waiting to respawn, if you can find your “None” key that is… 
This was mainly annoying because it overlapped the respawn info, and it disappeared after I picked up another jug later in the game.
