Hi,

I’m having some problems. Each time I change the TEXTUREGROUP part inside shootergame.ini , it just doesn’t work at all and the game doesn’t detect it. If I change it in the defaultgame.ini file, my mouse and keyboard aren’t detected (impossible to move, can’t escape>quit).

I used to play a lot when it was in Alpha… They might have changed something (my game isn’t corrupted, I re-installed it multiple times) or there is another way of changing it.

  • How do I open the console? what is the fps command? :confused:

I have searched for the 2 last problems on the forums, can’t find. Such a tard I am :eek:

you need to make the file READ ONLY.

Also… The file you need to change is…

If I make the file READ ONLY, whenever I join a server It closes and I get an error message. If unchecked, all graphics settings are default.

Have you added any custom binds for toggling visuals or other features on/off?

i think in this build you cannot change the texture group settings!!

i try the same as you but dont works…

play with postprocess and oneframe interval on and set the geometry detail to low and the character detail to high…!

then make all texture settings to “false” and set the “engine ini” to read only…

i have no performance probs with this config after the patch…

SD, how about on the Stat Web-Site that might come out with the game the person can also log-in and upload their CFG? Or it will grab automatically and post to that site along with your stats. People can then visit and test out other players CFG’s… zazeems cfg web-site was a huge hit back in the days of ET.

Everything we learned from ET should be in this game… Even for example when we get ranked games all ranked games should have a shoutcase video bot or something like LOL has for specing matches… So much work to be done…

I just went back and watched a bunch of ET videos and the movement speed doesnt seem to far off. However with the Low ROF, Large hit boxes and many other things it that make it feel good it hard to compare to DB.

I think we can all agree that guns feel better but the guns and the game still have no identity. I also do not like this we are going to combine ET, COD and BF and see what happens… Keep working :slight_smile:

It is now working. I guess some TEXTUREGROUP settings were obsolet and needed a change. If you are FPS hungry, give prophett’s config a try as it works like a charm :slight_smile:

I can’t point this out enough how much this effect the game! Its like a whole new game for me right now! I am like hurry up work end I want to play!!!
