Concussion grenade thoughts

I’m really starting to enjoy the soldier kit with concussion grenades. The grenades themselves are a lot of fun, but feel a bit limited in use by:

  1. Hit feedback. This would make it feel much more weighty, and tactical.
  2. The distorted grenade “smoke” lingers a bit long, making it hard to actually fire on the stunned targets.
  3. It would be nice if there were two concrete areas of effect, one full-on daze, one partial, perhaps separated by the two hitsounds. I find it a bit hard to plan not knowing how stunned the enemy is, especially with the big distortion cloud.

Thoughts?

I’m definitely not for flash/concussion grenades providing hit feedback that lets you know that you got the guy, if that is what you are implying by #1.

Agreed with prophett, those bitches are annoying enough already, don’t give additional features to them like feedback. It’s more a skill you gotta master: is he hit or not.

Yeah no hit sounds, it would make it too cheesy to use tbh. It is pretty much a guaranteed kill if you get a solid hit with it.

I also echo those above me who have said no to the hit feedback. I’ve not used the conc grenades much but I can already tell that they should require good judgement to be effective. On public servers so far, it’s pretty easy to throw these and get at least one person at choke points. As somebody who has had a few of these in the face, I kinda like the fact that they don’t know for sure they’ve hit me so I just shoot at them anyway :smiley:

The best kind of feedback would be a verbal (Audioable) sound from the merc effected if you’re going to put in anything. Odiously strings of profanity would symbolize how much it sucks to be nailed by a stunnah.
