That would remove the fun gambling aspect of getting a good or bad card, and we would all have good cards with our perfect augments.
I do, however, like the idea of all FUTURE special edition cards being second edition.
Also in the future I would like if they had customizable loadout cards, for example crafting a Phantom loadout card:
1st choose augments(17,500 credits for bronze, 2000 for Iron and 1000 for lead)Chopper, Quickslash, and Undercover.
Next, choose weapons: SMGs which he would normally get, KEK-10, Crotzni and Blishlok, so say I would choose a KEK-10, as for secondary, I would pick S-and-W and melee I would pick a Katana, next you pick rarity, bought only with Credits, 75k for Cobalt, 50k for Gold and 35 for Silver.
After you have chosen the rarity you can chose your skin for an extra 5k credits and you have your dream card, I think this system involves progression and would appease the community.
But BushWanker, what happens with our old cards and gen 2 future?
Well that’s a very good question, as for your old cards you can trade them in for credits, at a 40% loss campaired to my new crafting costs.
And for your current gen one and two cards, well, its really up to you, you can scrap them, or keep them.
And what about case drops?
Well there is still a wheel that you spin determining at which rarity you can craft a card, for FREE.
Also you can share cards with your friends on Steam at a 5000 credit transaction fee at any rarity.
Perhaps not swapping it with a bronze as i originally suggested, but rather a gold or cobalt. And no, that wouldn’t then mean we’d have all good cards with good skins. We would anyways need the correct merc and a high rarity card, which both takes some time to obtain.
However, if such a system where we can convert old special edition cards to gen 2 ones does not get implemented, that means old gen 1 special editions cards (which have quite nice skins) will get devalued and almost never used, keeping in mind the new special editions cards will be gen 2, plus we’ve got cobalts and golds. So basically not implemeting such a system would practically mean throwing away all the nice skins that were made for the current special edition cards.
