What do you guys think about a merc that breaks the 4th wall. Like his back story is he dimension jumped from Earth or something like that. I think there could be some really comical quotes coming from a merc like that.
Concept of Merc that breaks the 4th wall
I didn’t say Deadpool. Yes, Deadpool breaks the fourth wall, but i never said anything about Deadpool
If you want to make a suggestion, then give us the merc’s health, speed, and abilities. The personality is just a bonus.
@derpypenguinz19 I’m not making a suggestion on a merc. I’m asking for discussion on a concept. I frankly don’t like the idea of whole mock-ups. People seem to think more on interesting ideas rather than whether it is feasible in game, and if the devs would actually put time into making the merc.
The problem is that the personality doesn’t make the mercs, the abilities do. You could have any merc in the world that has this personality- but without an actual ability concept, the personality means nothing.
Most of my suggestions are feasible and balanced as best as I can make them without straying too far from my original concept. For example, I have the flare gun toting recon who’s afraid of the dark, [url=http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/18703/merc-outrider]a hard light wielding, mysteriously cloaked fire support, [url=http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/17816/merc-grapple/p1]the half paralyzed, grappling hook launching engineer, and [url=http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/16906/merc-stim-support-medic]a medic who’s addicted to his own healing gas.
As you can see, I have a wide variety of decently balanced merc ideas, and all of them have the ability that goes with their respective, oddball personality or backstory that many of the mercs in the game have. And like I said before, without the ability, the personality means nothing.

Exactly. The abilities are the most important to the game, the personality doesn’t affect gameplay at all.
