Concept for Initial Spawn Bonus

(Exili) #1

I have an idea for an account based progression system. Something to make it feel like you’re progressing not just with cards but as an account in whole.
Similar to popular MOBAs, an Initial spawn stat bonus allotment.

Leveling unlocks more slots for allotment, which you can apply purchased stats that apply only to your initial spawn and each first spawn after an objective capture.
The bonus should be tiny and be varied in these kind of categories (Numbers are examples, I’m not a game designer):
+10 Flat Movement Speed (with max points into)
+5% Movement Speed (with max points into)
+15 Flat Health (with max points into)
+10% Health (with max points into)
+20% Clip Size (with max points into)
+10% Objective Cap Speed (with max points into)
+10% Cooldown Reduction (with max points into)
+15% Healing Effects (with max points into)
+15 Resurrection Health (with max points into)
+10% Experience Gain
Ect.

I say % vs Flat because for instance a flat might be better for a low health merc like aura where as a % health may be better for rhino. Same vice versa for movement speed.

I think the stats only applying to initial and/or objective spawns will create an early game effect where players will more inclined to rely on support and team fights creating a stronger meta game.

Also, give something to purchase and theory craft on between matches.

Ideas, comments, suggestions, support?

No. We don’t need level 14 players roflstomping level 7s because of their mighty array of passive bonuses. (EDIT: At least in the beginning of the match, anyways)

Well the idea is that they are not “Mighty bonuses.” Also, there are servers for lower leveled and higher leveled players.
Also, it is only for the initial spawn. Not the entire match.

I don’t think this will be a good idea, due to the overall mixing of levels I have seen. I have played with a level 2 and a level 20 at the same time, not at all balanced.

In LoL the levels capped at 30, so you more or less were always around about your level. More or less.

But some sort of leveling bonus would be cool, after the first few levels, we stop getting tons of credits and start getting cases.

I don’t think that the mixing of levels makes this a bad idea. It just shows that the matchmaking needs to be better. They are already showing that they are working on improving it in the last patch.
