Concept art customisation options

(SnipingMeerkat) #1

So i was checking some pre release concept art and came across some intresting customisation that didnt make it to the game, what do you guys think. Also, i want to edit the tint of the the fortress goggles and the gasmask for resistance but oh well…

The fortress is my favourite, ill think ill make him now… but what about you guys and would you like the customisation more

Yeah. I particularly like the additional bug options. See, this game has so many sandbox options. I’d be cool just to let you continue unlocking outfits with exp points even if it doesn’t unlock new abilities or ranks, just to show your uber cool progress in the game…

(Oz70NYC) #3

Agreed. They could add so much more content just on the creation aspects alone.

I must admit, I was a little disappointed when I realised none of these sub-variations were in the game. It’d be nice to see it as an update later on maybe.
Oh well. I’m glad someone’s using the Wiki. =D

Regards,
Nexo

They said and i quote " near- unlimedted customisation possibility’s". Why did they not include sub options…

(Ultima) #6

Guessing they were cut out later in development, maybe just dropped completely, maybe cut out for some other reason, who knows. I do think these choices would have been really cool in game and would have made for a more unique feel to your character.

(Bittermetal) #7

Agreed!

And the The Look alternate mask are pretty nice too.

(Bittermetal) #8

That’s another surprising omission. I would think they would at least kick out more clothing and customization options much more regularly. All that stink was made for why females weren’t included. I thought that meant we would see more apparel for the characters since its all one model.

(Wraith_shadow) #9

Seriously. They made the effort to talk about their customization options, the put out the numbers with millions of combinations of what you could do, but once you get in the game it’s LITERALLY just a few preset guys that let you mis and match parts. That’s HARLDY the customization that we were promised. Why can’t i edit colors? Why are certain options permantent? Why can’t we change the paint jobs on our guns?

For what they were advertising, this game really came up lacking.

A color palette option would have gone a loooong way. A ton of variety if we could just have access to a color palette for each piece of apparel.

I remember Armored Core on the first playstation had more customization options. This is a completely different game but it had no online multiplayer so the large variety and lengthy set of customization options was really overkill. I remember spending hours in the shop customizing my mech. I wouldn’t want to change anything just because of how involved it could get.

I was almost afraid BRINK’s customization was going to be similar. But I was welcoming it. With all the numbers they were throwing out, as mentioned above, I was shocked at how the customization was handled. And lets not get started on how ham-stringed and limited the Security Forces options are…

This could be easily fixed. Plus regular content updates could change everything.

(sithhappens) #11

that would be awesome so those exp goes to good use once you max out a character

(morguen87) #12

It’s hard enough as it is to distinguish friendlies from enemies, more customization means more memorizing what team goofy face masked guy standing in front of team mates’ icons is on. Oh wait, you’re dead cause you hesitated in shooting the heavily-tatted-up, face-mask-wearing security guy who looks exactly like every resistance member.

I’d rather go the opposite direction and at least have the option of forcing class-specific character outfits and team colors. I get you guys want to customize, different strokes for different folks afterall, but giving those of us who don’t care about barbie dolls an option that would help us play the game smoother doesn’t hurt.

Really? Damn that sucks man. Let me ask… What is your monitor size and the video card/s you are using?

(79of96) #14

This one is very nice.

(SnipingMeerkat) #15

Yeah it is:)

(Bittermetal) #16

Indeed. I roll with The Look for one of my Security characters. Didn’t change a thing. Wish we got those variations as well.

(TruGamer97) #17

I like how the look can be in red so i’m hoping security will get some more red for there stuff

(TruGamer97) #18

I found this picture and im surprised the bug mask didn’t get this color in brink

(Spendlove) #19

I think the problem with the red is it clashes with the Resistance colours.

Overall I prefer the Security outfits. Come on folks, the Resistance outifit has a set of shoes that are plastic bottles. Now thats not gonna help your parkour now is it? Lol…

(TruGamer97) #20

Agreed i like the sec stuff to but i still love red[QUOTE=Spendlove;350185]I think the problem with the red is it clashes with the Resistance colours.
