"complex" non-linear map change- thing :)?

Hi

Just out of curiousity, does the scripting allow i.e. “non-linear map changing”?
for example. in map 1, allieds win -> next map is map_2a
or if in map 1, axis wins -> next map would be map_2b… and so forth.
i hope everyone understood the concept

yep, the idea is a bit large, taking account that if theres " 3 map" campaign, there has to be 7 maps for it … -> Very huge task.

also is there possibility to change the map time? i mean is it configurable per map (it should be? ) or is it something fixed in the ET it self (…can it be?..)
yep, im all " ?'s " here

Im just wondering the possibilities

EDIT:
Just read the other topic about this… so nevermind!

cheers

No, the map order is fixed by the campaign script.

Yes you can specify the map times via the arena file and the main map script file, but it is always finally up to the server admin.

Do any of the variables or scripting ‘carry over’ between maps in a campaign then?

I.E. Could you have a second map that, say, was like Railgun, then after that a second map placed where the Railgun was pointing, so if Axis fire the railgun the second map had a couple large craters and Allies have, say, a spawn point disabled, but if Allies defend the railgun from being fired than the next map is intact?

Yes there is a way of passing variables between map scripts. I need to test it first. It was put into the game a long time ago.
