Complete pc lockup on aquarium map

(Bigronnie3) #1

Hey, Im loving the game, but for some reason, at random intervals whenever im playing on the aquarium map, my pc suddenly locks up, brink crashes and the audio stutters, no error message or anything like that, it just suddenly stops, the only way to fix is by restarting the computer… I even tried it on windowed mode so i could re-create the crash and see if i could end it, but i couldnt even use my desktop, i had to restart
Any ideas? My framerate is pretty smooth on other maps and games, so i dont understand why it should be broken on this map only.

heres system info from dxdiag:

No solution for you but I seem to have sorted my FPS issues and im pretty much on about 80-130 fps in most areas but when im on that map and go into the Aquarium area I notice a drastic frame rate drop to way below 60, maybe your getting the same and its causing to much strain on your system ?

Check your Event Viewer logs (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427) in Windows and see if it was an OpenGL/Nvidia driver related crash. If so, many of us are having this issue as discussed here: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24899

Afraid there’s no fix for it yet. Still waiting on a fix from SD/Nvidia and hopefully it won’t be much longer as I haven’t even attempted to play the game in a couple of days because it completely locks my system up.
