I’ve been messing around with the ET source with the help of Paul’s thread. I’d like to do the same with RTCW (MP, not SP), but that source code contains no .sln file in src like the ET source has. Would someone please help me get started?
I tried separately loading the .dsp files in cgame, game and ui, letting Visual C++ 2008 Express convert them to its own project format (as it had to do with ET), and building each. That gave me the three .dll files, but the test edit I made to the MP40 ammo count isn’t in effect when I load the mod, as it is in ET. (I packaged them the same, cgame and ui inside the .pk3, qagame outside. I also tried putting the first two outside as well.)
Is it because there’s no project file for the whole source, as there is in ET? I’m a complete n00b, as you can tell.
