Compiling Error

(Gummy99) #1

Hello,

I have only started using radiant this evening and i have constructed a reasonable sized map, which contains a building with a doorway. Now that i have entered the entities whenever i try to compile i get the message " Entity 1, Brush 0: Entity Leaked Map is Leaked ". I have been trying for hours trying to resolve this and i have searched through countless pages on the forum looking for the answer, to no avail. Therefore does anybody have any idea what is going on, before anybody asks i know that the 3D space that encloses the players must be airtight, with no gaps that lead to the void, and from my point of view it is. If anybody needs anymore information to help answer my question please ask me to post it up.

Thanks In Advance

Dan

Thats a bug, I have the same problem and its not a compile error. Just dont mind it

So should i just ignore it, but it will not let me compile because of the error

If you’re using radiant to compile, theres still a option there whether to stop compiling because of leaks or not.
I’d recommend trying q3map2GUI

check my forums at:

thats about how to compile not in radiant.
Anyway that takes a lot of time, coz’ its a final compile or you can just remove some switches (a example):

q3map2.exe -game et -light -patchshadows -compensate 4 -v yourMap.map

well if you compile it in radiant a red line appears and showes you how it is leaked, inst it doing this??
I had this problem that it went straight through a solid wall -> solution was just to delete the wall and place it again… then it compiled fine
