Competitive - safe to leave?

Hi,

we are playing in a team of 5 and often the enemy team is leaving completely, so we are 5 against 0.
Is it safe to leave then? Or dont we get rankpoints if we leave in this situation?

pretty sure you don’t get rankpoints if you drop the game

There should be a message a couple of minutes after the first player drops out. Telling you that it is save to leave. I kinda doubt that you get rank points for those games anyways (but I’m only guessing).

I wouldnt even try it honestly, I got a 3 day ban because my power went out in the middle of a match…

You have to finish it, even when the whole enemy team left

How so? he was asking if it is save to abondon a match after someone left and I said yes after the waiting period you wont get a ban penalty.

The second part was about missing out on Ranking points and the anwser is who knows? noone knows how ranking actually works and wether a uneven game counts regulary or not, unless the DEVs come forth giving a explicit anwser it is guessing (which I implied).

My gut feeling says you wont get ranking points or atleast not the full amount, since you didn’t win a fair fight and that match isn’t a indicator of your skill.
But as I said thats just a guess.

Because he’s asking if it’s safe to leave if the entire enemy team leaves. NOT one of his own.

A message does come up sayings it’s safe to leave without penalty. Even if 1 person leaves after a few minutes a message will pop up in chat sayings its okay to leave.

Believe it takes 4 or 5 minutes.
