Competitive penalties?

(Gizmo) #1

So countless times now I have tried to get into a competitive match, after the long searches and failed lobbies, I finally get into one that works, loose connection when I enter and straight after I try to rejoin (to avoid the penalty in the first place!) I get a sign in failed message.

After restarting the game to try once more, I have a penalty, so time to wait I guess… So frustrating!

Has anyone else had this problem?

Ive had this problem all yesterday, lost 3 ranks cause of it.
Thought it was my isp doing line work. Did a little work and found out
it was server based, hope they fix this problem soon too .

I’ve not heard of anybody having that problem consistently in DB but I do know it’s VERY common in CSGO (from experience). The best thing to do is follow the DB Twitter accounts and check those if you experience any issues.

And always make sure it’s not an issue on your end. Many many times in CSGO players would blame Valve for banning them despite them knowing their connection is faulty. Obviously you’re not doing this but that is ridiculously common in CSGO.

Personally, to find a lobby without any dsc is to play with friends that you can chat with and know what they’re doing. That way your team is either full or almost full and you can just pick up a random stray player (hopefully not a noob) and quickly find a lobby.

I’ve had it happen several times, but over a period of time. However, finding a competitive lobby can be a pain most times.

As for playing with friends, I would but hardly any of them play DB :frowning:

It happens to me quite often and that’s the main reason I don’t play competitive, which is a shame, because I prefer this mode. It’s pretty broken for me, although my connection is fine.

Edit:
I’ve got to say that now it works fine for me.
