Competitive Matchmaking - Not Just Leaving Matches Penalty (other problems and fixes)

So yeah its pretty crappy when you’re in a 5v5 and someone leaves, but sometimes it’s not their fault. Many times I get booted out of a match before the game starts by the game, and I’d be pretty upset if I received a penalty for that.

Also, if teams become uneven in the lobby before the match starts, other players should be able to leave without penalty. It’s very difficult to be competitive in a match where you’re 2 men short, or even 1.

Lastly, I’ve also noticed that players become AFK during matches which also hinders the team A LOT. I just played a map where we were being steamrolled by a team (we were 2 men short…), and then when it came to deliver the packages, (I was defending) someone on the other team grabbed an EMP and proceeded to be AFK for the remainding 10 mins of the match, allowing us to win the match.

A fix for the last point would be a vote kick option resembling that of CS:GO

Agreed. I had the same idea since I lost about 5 match because of that afk galore

Yeah, and that last scenario I mentioned is game-breaking. It’s not too bad because it’s closed beta and so not everyone has access to this game, but once they do, there is bound to be trolls who will pull this stunt.

I don’t believe an auto AFK kick would work because the troll could just run around in his spawn or go to the back of the map to mitigate it

Another point would be the option to leave after the troll is kicked as well because once you’re a man short its tough to get anywhere in the game… although him being AFK is just about the same as being a man down
