Stopwatch is not for me, any idea when the Competitive Matchmaker will have the Objective mode?
Competitive Matches, Objective mode, any idea when?
Competitive objective will never happen as you can not balance the attackers and defense side equally without a mountain of human hours. Why do you not like stopwatch? It just objective but one round on defense and one on attack?
Why do some people like vegetables and some don’t?
Unfortunately is not (or hasn’t been) for me.
I’ll give it another try, now that Competitive is working. Who knows, I might start to enjoy it if it feels balanced.

But… it’s the same game, just balanced for competitive. No, objective won’t be, there’s no reason for it to be.
I wish I felt the same (no sarcasm here, I really do).
I keep getting s_hit team balance and therefore 1 half per map is more than enough, the 2nd half is just rubbing salt in the wound.
I’m just here to have some fun, unfortunately that very rarely happens in Stopwatch.

Who in Your opinion should win objective mode in competitive if there is only 1 round? Who will choose the side? Defenders will won most of the matches.

Reversing sides is the only way to fairly find a winner in asymmetric game.
I wouldnt judge Stopwatch MM based on it’s current iteration. It’ll take time for the player numbers and ranks to balance things out.
That said, nothing saying you couldnt have a match making Objective mode, could play two different maps, one as offense one as defense. Doesnt have to be ‘true’ competition - that said, not sure that I think adding another mode to the MM queue is a good idea until/unless the numbers using it swell massively.
So if I understand this correctly, your whole argument is that Objective is better because the pain lasts for a shorter amount of time. ^^ The real solution of course is to make team balance less painful in general.
Some folk might just prefer to play two different maps, and if there is imbalance at least it doesnt mean sitting spawncamped for 15min.
