Community so far?

(Lunar) #1

Something happened idk if its because a lot of older guys who played ET and quake, tribes etc are back and that seems to be the player base or we just got lucky. But so far this has been the nicest and fun community I have been in since maybe MoH:AA days for me personally. Very rarely do I encounter shit talkers and a lot of times its just pure competitiveness and gg’s all around, hats of to all of you.

I’ve seen a lot of elitists believing that they are better than others because they have played those games you named. They are also complaining about anything and everything that is different from ET. This happens on the forums too.

I dont go on the forums often been in game so much. But it seems on my end, a lot left the egos at home which is nice.

I think complaining is the wrong word. Constructive criticism is what I would of chosen. The similarities between DB and ET are obviously going to draw comparisons. I would rather have a vocal community that calls out things that it feels are wrong as opposed to people who just say how wonderful everything is.

back on topic slightly, I have always found shooting games that require a high degree of skill and teamwork to bring out the best in people. You know that the person who just killed you has had to work hard for that kill (proxy mines aside.)

It will be interesting to see what the community is like when the game opens up to everyone.

In game, the community is indeed nice. People tend to play the objective relatively well. Not much trashtalks going.

As far as I feel it on the forums, I read already much people complaining with little knowledge of what is going to happen is the near future. Right now, a lot of people are already complaining on shotguns. To me, they are complaining about them because proxy is available for free right now. I’d interested to see what’s gonna happen after a free merc rotation with vassili available.

I’m okay

Just let me trashtalk once in a while, I love you all<3

On EU servers at least, I didn’t felt like the community was at its best. My games commonly started with a “omg noob team” or something from either my side or the opposite side. Some people are acting obnoxiously through the game, either blaming their team or insulting random people, and it really spoils the fun for everyone. I also got called hacker/cheater or whatever a couple of times. Not talking about the guy who rages about shotguns or something else and keeps piping up for the rest of the game without even daring to play.

Not all of my games were like that though. Most of the time people were rather silent. I also got some games were people are willing to discuss a bit and the ambient felt great, but I can count those on a single hand. I won’t say this is a bad community so far though. I experienced much worse. But I can’t hide that I am a bit worried about when the open beta will be released. I don’t know how it’s going on for American and Australian servers also. Maybe the community is really nice and the rage issue is a common EU problem.

As a new game im not sure if everyone has quite settled into the whole idea of how a team functions and how to function well. To me I think its important for a team to exhibit and embody what is commonly known as “team spirit”. So if there isn’t at least one teammate hurling abuse at the team from basically start to finish, regardless of if the team is actually performing well, it makes it feel like nobody really cares and that is a poor show of team spirit.

(Kroad) #15

game has better community than most because it’s still in closed beta, filters out a lot of idiots

still see a lot of raging, people calling hacks, etc

(Fake nick) #16

I’m changing my mind, you guys sucks and shouldn’t play videogamezz at all

(Diosito) #17

Well, if there are people involved, you can always expect this kind of situations… just saying :stuck_out_tongue:
