So i want to do a community map for Dirty Bomb and i made some conzept art. I want to know what do you think about it.
So first of all this is a sketch and there are no ways for now.
At first you have to destroy a wall, so later on the plane can start.

Secondly they have to grab the objectives from the tower.

i like the idea of the map, but dirty bomb is based on london from 2030 (not sure about the date) and from what i know there isnt any sea
soo it could be done on normal airport
also keep in mind that there cant be too much open space, soo that makes normal airport even better
but thumbs up for the idea, really cool

Thats a great idea but they will NEVER do something with your map. they go only by their rules as you can see from every update we got.
i think someone should make a list of how many possible different map could be done with the actual obj (ev the two kind of delivring and c4) (i’am too lazy to do it :neutral: ) cause we actually dont have any map with c4 then deliver and that would be pretty nice
Maybe some kind of beached carrier on the Thames? Pretty unrealistic though, at least from my limited knowledge of the river
My only concern there would be a lot of long, flat sight lines, giving assault rifles and snipers an advantage over other weapon types. With enough clutter and obstacles that could be solved though. Flesh it out some! It’s a really cool idea, I’d say you should also think about the backstory - why would the CDA or Jackal be interested in this target? Could you incorporate the containment shield into the need for using the plane somehow?
Would be cool if you can ride those planes.
To address your idea, this map seems a bit small (which is not a problem). They would need to make it longer while still using your map ideas.
Second, you need to question the balance of the map.
Third, I would prefer to see something more unique than plant C4, blow this up, take this and deliver it here, etcetera… Maybe something like hack two stations, activate the power drill to destroy the wall (similar to PayDay 2), refuel the plane, escape in the plane, capture a point… Something more unique than what we have had for the past year.
What about sinking the carrier? or at least an objective inside, like stealing a jet from inside the hangar. That would change the battlefield mid-game and lets the carrier actually be part of the map. Inside a carrier are large “hangars” and big elevators for the planes to be lifted to the deck. There are lots of passages to reach other area’s. Many catwalks and stairways can give this map some interesting 3D gameplay as well, Something that the developers are after as seen in the new execution map and the upcoming Dockyard.
anyway, Just my two cents xD
Also I’m wondering if custom mapping is somehow, somewhere supported? Would be fun to make my own maps like players did with UT2k4.
