commandmap icon problem

(isbowhten) #1

icon for moving jeep:
icon is shown normally,
damage => red icon
repair => ICON DISAPPEARS!!

i tried a looooot and could not make that icon work

pls tell me how to do it, i have a TOI targeted at the jeeps constructible checked “start built” “invulnerable” and “allied obkective” and the TOI has “moving tank” and off course customimage and track and shortname.
TOI and constructible are attached to a script_mover with model2 key to a tag and “solid” “resurrectable” “explosivedamage only” “Allied”…

i do NOOOOT need information about how to make it moving (it works fine) , ONLY the icson does not show up correctly.

to kill the constructible i tried in the script movers death event, alertentity jeep_constructible (toggles the status ) and alertentity killer (a target kill entity) both did not make any difference to each…

just in case, the icon file is ok (128x64 tga, with alpha channel).

Please post the script… maybe there is a problem with it.

as i have my own truckscript, nobody would understand it and the script should not have anything to do with the icon except of how i kill the construction

if u don’t want to post it, i will ^^

Ahhemmm! :rolleyes: The “language” is still the same…

(isbowhten) #7

yes off course xD but e.g. i hate tabs…
my script seems to be orderless but it IS ordered for me only…

nobody likes my order… ^^but i still think the script is NOT thr reason for icon problems…
how to link entities, which spawnflags etc…

(btw in an old map of mine the icon worked^^ but i cant see any difference)

The Sherman in my tank is more or less a copy of the Goldrush tank from 2bits tutorial. Maybe you take a look at the file by 2bit. I bet it’s something small that is causing the problem.

SOLVED:

the constructible may NOT have checked “invulnerable” (=> do not attach it to a tag-----),
the constructions needs to have set a constructible_class.
