Command not recognized: PROFILE GAME STOP

(SnakekillerX) #1

System:

Windows 7 - 64 Bit.

Alright, so since the last update I’ve been getting this error while playing. Doesn’t matter the mode, or the merc I play.
Doesn’t seem to be triggered by anything that I’ve noticed. Sometimes I’m just running from point A to point B and it kicks me out of the game and back to the main menu. It does not actually spit back an error message, but if you bring up the console you see…

Command not recognized: PROFILE GAME STOP

I can rejoin the same server and continue playing, for some reason if it happens in a match, it is more likely to keep happening during that same match. (Been kicked to menu 4 times once while playing ranked)

I had been playing several hours before the error occurred even once, but when it did, it happened again within 5 minutes on the same server.

I browsed the forum a little bit and noticed someone else have the same issue some time back, but whether or not the person’s issue was rectified is unknown as the thread ended with no conclusion.

Here is what I have tried so far…

Uninstalled the game and deleted my Dirty Bomb steam folder, as well as the folder it makes at the My Documents/My Games/UnrealEngine3

Deleted all of it. Reinstalled the game, and it seemed like all was good… but then it started happening again.

I don’t run any special scripts, no .ini edits, no HUD modifications, etc. Its just vanilla DB.
I’ve also tried turning off any extra programs I have running in the background that don’t really need to be on at the time such as…

Actual Windows Manager
Team Viewer
Remotr
CCleaner

The problem persists.

Any way to resolve this problem for good? It isn’t the end of the world on PUB, but it can be a real pain in the ass on ranked.

What does your log say?

I dropboxed it. You can find it here:

[7748.16:2017.03.12-03.33.22] ScriptLog: [NETWORK] Notify Connection Error : Type = PMT_ConnectionFailure Message = Your connection to the host has been lost. Title = Connection Lost

Maybe there is problem with your connection?

Here is some repair tips:

  1. Restart your router
  2. Check your local area connection settings in windows. Ip address should be obtained automatically.
  3. If that doesn’t help, you should consider setting your router to factory defaults.

I go from my modem -> PC. No router.
Modem has been restarted.

Odd though, sometimes I’m in the middle of a fire fight with someone and it drops me to menu. No one lags out, it just kicks to menu.

I’ll try and get a video recording of it sometime.

Also, when I get kicked to menu if I find the server I was on, I’ll see my old self still in that server and it takes about 20 seconds for it to time out so I can reconnect. (the server was full)

Usually modems have router built-in.

You can also check in resource monitor / network tab if there is some suspicious spikes that matches with your disconnect. If you want to do this more professional way, you can also use Performance Monitor. Sometimes there is possibility with your ISP that you can disable auto correction. It makes internet latency faster, but there is more errors. When playing games it’s good. But it might cause more unstable connection with multiple devices, especially when buffering video.

This is just a basic modem, there is no router built into it. The public IP is pulled at my PC.

Also, I tested by disabling my local area connection while in a match and it behaved in the exact same fashion as I stated above, so it could definitely be what you’ve stated and be a quick drop in the connection that seems to go unnoticed otherwise.

I’ll run that network monitor if it happens again.

I have the exact same issue. After some minor testing, it seems that the “exit” occurs at exactly 5 minutes intervals, and is unaffected by any factors, be it in game or on the home menu. I haven’t tried uninstalling yet, but since you’ve said it didn’t help, I was wondering if anyone else have any suggested solutions.
