Command maps & level shot directory

Hello, im an unber noob (level editing), just learning to make my 1st map and all, its hard to get a command map set up being that this game (ET) unlike RTCW has this cool map-grid on the HUD’s compass, so its hard finding good tutorials for that. Anyhow, i’ve only read the tutorial from the documentation and im having this problem: its syas "First create a square .tga image and save it as ‘mytest_cc.tga’ in the 'levelshots’directory. (512x512 pixels should be enough.) but WHERE is the levelshot directory, i’ve looked all over :frowning:

and while im here, where ccan i also find where the .wavs are stored, i keep getting an error that the game cant find the sound path to those wav’s (like door openeing/closong etc).

you have to create the “levelshots” directory yourself in the “etmain” directory.

how about al lteh game wav files…any idea on that?

Wav files go in sound/yourmapname

well levelshots would be there if you had extracted pak0.pk3, if you do that you get a whole bunch of new dirs in your etmain directory and you get more models, sounds, etc.
