As the title says, the Combat Intuition sometimes gets triggered by respawned players. I bet many have experienced it but i havent found a thread on it.
You kill a guy in a perfectly cleared area and then suddenly get a Combat Intuition pop-up as large as if he was standing right behind you. The only thing at that implied position is the corps of the now respawned player.
PS: Guess its related to the “get naded after respawning” bug.
I have seen this too. I kill a guy and when he is on the ground I sometimes get combat intuition telling me he is there?? And trust me there is no one else around.

That’s what combat intuition feels like in general. Who knows how this mysterious ability works? Perhaps some Bio Engineer on Labs has an answer to this mysterious ability. 
Is it possible they are only incapacitated and have downed fire? I don’t know if an enemy using downed fire can trigger CI, but it’s a thought.
That’s nothing. The other day I was just about to disguise (or maybe comms-hack) as a dead player, and I guess they respawned right when I started disguising or something, and the auto-follow kicked in and I automatically started running toward the enemy spawn with my transmitter-thingy held out.
Yeah I’ve noticed that as well as damage being taken when you respawn. Also a few times I’ve managed to kill myself as soon as I spawn using cortex bomb. It’s quite embarrassing to be downed in the middle of your spawn I can tell you.
Yeah that was a great thing! Thankfully that got patched already!
We saw that happening the other day in the obituaries and couldnt explain it… Selfkill with cortex bomb…
I also managed to lie around dead in the spawn yesterday for the whole 30+ spawnwave in founders tower. But a complete kill in spawn happens rarely fortunatly.
On topic again,
you can also trigger the CI when you gib a guy right in front of you. Saw it just today, stomped the guy and had the CI in a fat 90° popup right at 12oclock. He would have stood right in front of me
