color palette

ok, once again, can’t find an answer in search so i’ll just ask. is there anyplace where i can find the specific color palette used for textures created by the dev team? i find that my textures tend to look a bit crappy (sadly). in particular, the wood and metal textures are the ones i’d like to improve. generally i can get stone textures to work out fairly well, overall.
i’m not sure how clear that request is i guess- to be a bit more specific, what i’m asking is was there a specific color range that was used when generating the textures created by splash damage? they tend to have a uniform “look’”, in that none of the textures appears washed out next to another, and the characters tend to “fit” the textures around them.
thanks.

It’s called good art direction.

Just open up a texture you want yours to be similar in tone and try and match it up.

If it’s a metal or wood texture sometimes placing an ET one on a top layer and selecting ‘color’ as your blending mode. This will give your texture a similar color as the top layer, make sure you desaturate the original layer so it doesn’t blend both colors together.

Or just use the color picker and pick the averaging color and add it to a new layer and set it’s blending more to softlight.

Some tweaking will be needed in all cases though.

thanks for the tip. as it stands i try to work with a texture similar to what i want to accomplish open next to what i’m working on. i guess i had just assumed that the dev team worked from a designated color palette to simplify operations in general.
