don’t u think it would just be easier to code a ET style objective system into battlefield 1942 rather than use ET objective system and try to code the equivalent of bf1942 in ET?

Ehr, I guess not. BF has not half the mod support W:ET has.
AFAIK, all mods were made using scripting because there was no access to the game code itself. I could be wrong though, but I haven’t seen no other gametype in BF other than conquest or the other built-in ones.
