The coal splitter sometimes comes up in the kill log next to some people’s username, but other trinkets do not. Why is this? Does it mean something or is it just discrimination against the lamppost and the normal coal?
Pretty much. SD are a bunch of trinket racists.
I kid. Coalsplitter and Skullsplitter are the only 2 trinkets with obituary flairs.
I got a lamp trinket for logging in at the end of last year but now I don’t have it any more. Were some of those things seasonal or something?
And I didn’t want a skullsplitter trinket anyway, so there.
I lied, yes I did but I took a break and missed it.

However, you earned it by playing 15 hours and not by logging in.
You can always contact support if it disappeared.

I believe there were people who didn’t reach the time but got them by mistake.
And they were taken away afterwards. But just my speculation.
I highly doubt they’d take away something cosmetic that has been given to user, even if by mistake. Bad practise.
I received snowman even if I never aimed for it and was like 12h short of it when event ended. Still got it cluttering my inventory even though havent even inspected it.

Thanks, that’s the one. I don’t remember having the coal though, which I should have had for playing 3 hours on the way to getting the lamp so I guess I must have received it by mistake. No worries, I’m playing again now so I’ll get whatever trinkets come out in future instead

My friend was 20 hours away from it and gave up playing. He complained about it for weeks. But when some people weren’t getting trinkets for the time they spent playing, and cases as well as trinkets were dished out to many people for playing and not getting them; he ended up getting one in that handout for free. He was so happy.
I remember.
The grind was real.
Players possibly exceeded the 60 hours because the progression bar may have been bugged.
Meanwhile others obtained the Snowman with far less playtime.
Oh, well.

I really recommend you to contact support.
They are probably able to see what happened even though a couple of months passed.

I’m not afraid to contact support, I don’t see the need. I didn’t play to earn any of the trinkets, I wasn’t playing DB at the time so it was a mistake for me to get the lamp in the first place.
I missed all the loadouts for the Christmas and ReV events too, along with a number of the free cases given away in May. I’d be happier to get hold of those, maybe I’ll raise a ticket asking for them on a goodwill basis
