CMM...Never again or a MIN SERVER

So I played once again in a cmm server. It was my last time. I won’t touch anymore this bs. I played about 12 matchs since the beta tests. But all matches were bad,is not fun playing with newbies in team or againts newbies with 5- 50 hours.
In my last match I had in team 4 Proxy and 1 Sniper,it says all about them.

Can you add at least MIN LVL 15 servers for CMM? Or is so bad if I want to kill someone skilled a little and not a semi-afk bot?
Or something like ranked put 3 categories EASY(1-15 lvl)/NORMAL(15+)/HARD(30+)

P.S. 12 Matches and I played ALWAYS in Underground…

You can’t have only one map selected for CMM. I’d love to see a screenshot of your last 5 matches Artyim just to see if your last 5 matches were actually all Underground or not, otherwise I call bullshit. I once played a map for about 5 times ( I shit you not, fucking Bridge. ) but it’s the first time I hear someone play a map for over 10 times

I can’t give you a ss because my last match in cmm was like 3 weeks ago and today I was playing for the first time after that.
However once I played 8 times (bridge map) out of my 9 matches in the same day,IN RANKED(i have all my maps selected in ranked). So idk if is random or bad luck.

I kinda doubt that because you can find a lot of high levels there. And its really amazing to be “forced” to play two stompwatch matches in row. :slight_smile:

But yeah i prefer server browser 8vs8 over CMM too.

Wondering if they try to improve the “balancing” part of CMM (if there is any) or only work on queue times.

Hey with all the bugs in the game whats not to say that its not a bug he is experiancing as well??? As far aas 12 rounds enless its glitched its exageration i dont think ive ever gone more than 3 of the same map in a row.

That’s the main problem, lots of us complain about that too. And Ranked has same problem. Then the game is unplayable.

Asking since months the return of 8v8 Objective servers and to not merge new and old players, I don’t know why SD do nothing. Currently the game is just unplayable/trash for non-newbies.

When CMM is balanced its usually because it’s a duel between two carriers.

Then what do you think Splash Damage should do? Seriously.

On average, there are like 1,700 people playing Dirty Bomb at any given time. Of those, maybe 15% are idle or just tooling around in menus, meaning maybe 1,500 people actually actively playing at any given time, which is a generous number cause of those, a number will be just stuck in queue hell waiting for a match to pop.

Take those 1,500, divide them into three playlists ( server browser, CMM and ranked ), then you have to further delineate by region and skill level?

Maximum level servers should return, and CMM should either be made more similar to ranked or removed. That’s my two cents.

It’s already similar to ranked, both sucks…

I think one of the origin of the problem is players complaining to wait in queue, then to make it faster CMM algorithm break the match balance (probably just a FIFO queue anyway) :confused: Every time I hear SD saying “we are making CMM faster” I cry, it’s like saying “we are making CMM balance even more shitty” :’(

The easier and faster solution would be to have 2 different queues, one for people under level 30, the other for people over level 30. Even with simple FIFO queues the result would be 100 times better than their current system. But that won’t resolve the lacks of 8v8 servers. As they are, both CMM and ranked should be removed.

It should be the priority of SD instead of minor/cosmetic/useless changes.

CMM is… okay. Like @Meerkats said, its difficult to make a proper matchmaking system when you have such a small player base. The biggest issue for me is map selection, I had a day where every match was bridge(in both CMM and Ranked) besides maybe one match.

Also, SD has more than one department. The team that does the cosmetics and balancing is not the same that handles the matchmaking algorithms.

Then you aren’t a newbie, but not yet a veteran :stuck_out_tongue: I saw some players above level 300! (TomaZe for example).

Personally I am level 75 with something like 900 hours and really it isn’t interesting anymore to play with/against most new players, especially at 5v5 or 6v6. It’s less problematic at 8v8.

I have never said that i am newbie. I just said that I suck and that i enjoy / dont mind playing with new players. They do not take it so seriously usually and sometimes their chaotic way of playing is fun. I tend to play 8vs8 or 7vs7 these days because it feels a bit more casual than CMM. I have never touched ranked though.
