CM Icons and ETPRO shaders

When I include the ETPRO shaders for CM icons, they won’t show on the regular command map, but do show up in the compass map. When I delete the ETPRO shaders and run the exact same map, I get icons properly showing in both command maps:

gfx/dubrovnik/cm_keycard
{ 
   nopicmip 
   nocompress 
   nomipmaps 
   { 
      map gfx/dubrovnik/cm_keycard.tga

Any suggestions?

If you use the ETPro shaders on etmain, they won’t show properly.

ah, thanks - seems funny that in order to ‘fix’ etpro, it basically breaks the default game. However, how many servers are actually running vanilla et vs some variant of shrub or etpro? There is only one server on my list of favorites that is running etmain.

That’s what ASE tells me:

shrub ~ 400
etmain ~ 800
etpro ~ 2300

hmmm, wondering if it’s even worth making the extra pk3.

if this really is an etpro related issue i would prefer this to be fixed with an etpro release and not patched by different pk3 packages. we don’t want players to download every map three times just to have it fit the appropriate mod?!

All you need is one shader for ETPro. That’s it. Even with the overhead of the PK3, it is very small.

Yeah patch pk3s are all the rage!

Actually in this case they would work nicely, unless some fool server admin was running etmain with the etpro command map pk3, but then that’s his fault, you can’t do nowt about that.
Make sure you call your pk3 something like ETPRO_ONLY_NOT_ETMAIN_YOU_DARNED_GIMP.pk3 :wink:
